Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to support the lease accounting process under ASC 842. The role focuses on end-to-end lease accounting, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations in a dynamic environment.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least one year of general ledger experience, plus familiarity with ASC 842. Remote work is possible for the right candidate across listed states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university focusing in Accounting, or Financial Accounting; and a minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops detailed understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries for lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
