Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accounting Analyst to manage lease accounting schedules and end-to-end processes under ASC 842. You will prepare analyses, journal entries, and reconciliations, supporting internal and external audits including SOX compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting and at least one year of GL experience; ASC 842 experience is highly preferred. Remote work option available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting; minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops detailed understanding of the end-to-end process of lease accounting, including stakeholders, systems, accounting processes, and internal controls.
• Proactively prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries in support of lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts; investigates and resolves variances on a timely basis.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards and assesses impact on internal reporting.
• Other duties may be assigned and accommodations made per guidelines.
