Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking an Experience Designer to lead the creation of performance-first learning experiences. You will apply the EnABLE methodology to Engage to Align, Analyze to Design, and Evaluate phases, guiding complex stakeholders and mentoring peers.

Your work spans high-visibility, cross-functional initiatives that align learning with business strategy and outcomes. The role is full-time, with standard hours and potential extra time as project needs arise.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience.
• Must be 18 years of age OR older.
• 2+ years of learning design, instructional design, OR learning content development experience.
• Experience with instructional design and content authoring tools, including Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Creative Suite, OR similar software.
• Experience utilizing the EnABLE Framework and ATD Capability Model.
• Intermediate knowledge of AI-powered learning and productivity tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), inclusive design principles, and learning consultation methodologies.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and modernization of learning and performance support solutions using instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and digital authoring tools to create engaging, scalable experiences that improve performance.
• Lead strategic consultations with stakeholders to uncover business needs, performance expectations, and success measures.
• Use predictive analytics and historical data to define KPIs and ROI for learning initiatives.
• Navigate complex stakeholder dynamics and influence decision-making through data-driven insights and business acumen.
• As part of this work, you will also: Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements; Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems; Translate concepts into practice; Provide explanations and information to others on difficult issues.
