Job summary

General Assembly is seeking a Lead Learning Experience Designer to create scalable, AI‑enabled enterprise learning experiences for remote U.S. and global clients.

You will lead design, development, and delivery of instructor-led programs, labs, simulations, and assessments, collaborating with SMEs, product managers, and client teams. The role emphasizes translating complex concepts into practical, workplace-ready learning, applying adult learning principles, and ensuring measurable outcomes

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, curriculum design, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to design high-quality learning experiences for enterprise, professional, technical, or workplace audiences.
• Hands-on fluency with current AI tools to design, prototype, evaluate, and improve learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete design process for GA programs including discovery, outcomes, timelines, scope and quality.
• Partner with sales, product, client success, solutions and delivery teams to translate client needs into learning solutions.
• Develop instructor-led materials: slides, labs, simulations, assessments, facilitator guides, and learner workbooks.
• Create hands-on learning activities and AI-enabled labs or exercises aligned to business outcomes.
• Ensure accessibility, learner outcomes, and transfer to workplace with measurable impact.
