Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior Learning Design Professional to design and deliver learning solutions that close performance gaps. The role emphasizes instructional design, cognitive psychology and adult learning principles to shape content, assessments and curricula.

Remote work is supported with optional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in adult education or instructional design are required, with strong communication and project management skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Learning and Performance, Education, Performance Consulting, Industrial/Organizational Development, HR, or other related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Adult Education or Instructional Design.
• Prior experience in a consumer-centric company within the learning function.
• Progressive business experience with a focus on learning strategies and adult learning theories.
• Prior experience with measuring learning solutions and tying to performance.
• Project management experience.
• Excellent written, grammatical and verbal communication skills.
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
• Ability to be flexible in a very fluid and dynamic environment, including changing processes and priorities.
• Must be a self-starter, organized, capable of handling multiple details/projects, and able to move between strategic and tactical work.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze content, organize content, design solutions, and write storyboards, scripts, performance support, mobile learning and manuals.
• Analyze learning needs and partner with subject matter experts for course content input.
• Write effective learning objectives and coordinate performance assessments to measure training effectiveness.
• Ensure course materials are current and relevant to training needs.
• Track and analyze training programs' effectiveness by examining learner satisfaction, proficiency testing, and job performance improvement.
• Provide instruction and guidance to Facilitators.
