Job summary

SERVPRO Industries, LLC is seeking an Instructional Designer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality learning content for franchisees and HQ. You will translate operational needs into engaging, instructionally sound experiences delivered through on-demand, virtual, and live modalities.

Reporting to the Director, Instructional Design, you will ensure accuracy, brand alignment, and adherence to learning strategy while collaborating with SMEs and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in instructional design preferred.
• 3+ years of instructional design experience in corporate training or related environments.
• Experience designing multi-modality learning (on-demand, ILT, blended).
• Proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Camtasia.
• Familiarity with SERVPRO Schools content is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality learning content for on-demand modules, instructor-led training, blended programs, and microlearning.
• Translate operational standards and business needs into measurable learning objectives and structured experiences.
• Develop storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, participant guides, assessments, and multimedia assets.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand goals, performance gaps, and learner needs.
• Partner with SMEs to validate content accuracy and align with real-world practices.
• Collaborate with Field Capability to ensure ILT content supports evolving objectives.
• Ensure content adheres to SERVPRO’s standards, brand voice, and instructional design norms.
• Maintain version control and support content lifecycle management with LMS governance.
• Design assessments, knowledge checks, and capability validation tools to measure progress.
• Work with Learning Experience to ensure content is properly structured and tagged in the LMS.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to scope, plan, and execute content development projects.
• Incorporate learner feedback and operational changes into updates.
• Stay current on instructional design trends and adult learning principles.
