Job summary

SERVPRO Industries, LLC is seeking an Instructional Designer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality learning content across SERVPRO Schools of Learning. You will translate standards into on-demand, virtual and live instruction, ensuring accuracy and alignment with brand and strategy.

You will create storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, and assessments, while partnering with HQ and franchise SMEs, and shaping content for ILT and e-learning modalities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of instructional design experience in corporate training, L&D, or franchise/field-based environments.
• Experience designing multi-modality learning (on-demand, ILT, blended).
• Background in SERVPRO Schools (Restoration, Construction, Office, Biz Dev, Leadership, Onboarding) preferred.
• Proficiency with authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, etc.).
• Understanding of LMS structure, content governance, and metadata best practices.
• Strong communication skills able to simplify complex information for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality learning content for on-demand modules, instructor-led training, blended programs, and microlearning.
• Translate operational standards, SOPs, and business needs into measurable learning objectives and structured learning experiences.
• Develop storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, participant guides, assessments, and multimedia assets.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand business goals, performance gaps, and learner needs.
• Partner with SMEs to validate content accuracy and ensure alignment with real-world practices.
• Collaborate with Field Capability to ensure ILT content supports evolving learning objectives.
• Ensure content adheres to brand voice and instructional design standards.
• Maintain version control and support content lifecycle management.
• Design assessments, knowledge checks, and capability validation tools.
• Work with Learning Experience to ensure content is structured and tagged in the LMS.
