Job summary

SERVPRO Industries, LLC is seeking an Instructional Designer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality learning content for franchised and HQ teams. You will translate standards into engaging, accessible experiences delivered via on-demand, virtual, and live modalities.

The role ensures accuracy, consistency, and alignment with SERVPRO’s learning strategy. You will build content, validate with SMEs, and collaborate across L&D and Operations to drive continuous improvement and certification

Qualifications

• 3+ years of instructional design experience in corporate training, L&D, or franchise environments.
• Experience designing multi-modality learning (on-demand, ILT, blended).
• Background in SERVPRO Schools (Restoration, Construction, Office, Biz Dev, Leadership, Onboarding) preferred.
• Proficiency with authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia).
• Understanding of LMS structure, content governance, and metadata best practices.
• Strong communication skills — able to simplify complex information for diverse learners.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to partner across L&D and Operations.
• Field-first orientation with understanding of operational realities and learner needs.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and instructional excellence.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality learning content for on-demand modules, instructor-led training, blended programs, and microlearning.
• Translate standards and business needs into measurable learning objectives and experiences.
• Develop storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, participant guides, assessments, and multimedia assets.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand goals, gaps, and learner needs.
• Partner with SMEs to validate content accuracy and ensure real-world alignment.
• Collaborate with Field Capability to ensure ILT content supports evolving objectives.
• Ensure content adheres to SERVPRO’s standards, brand voice, and design guidelines.
• Maintain version control and support content lifecycle with LMS governance.
• Design assessments and knowledge checks to measure progress and readiness.
• Work with Learning Experience to structure and tag content in the LMS.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to scope, plan, and execute content projects.
• Incorporate learner feedback and operational changes into updates.
• Stay current on instructional design trends and edtech tools.
