Job summary

The City of Alexandria's Learning and Development team is seeking an L&D Analyst to design, administer, and evaluate training programs. You will conduct needs analyses, work with subject matter experts, and apply adult learning principles to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years HR experience or equivalent
• Experience in training program design; instructor-led and eLearning
• Proficiency with Articulate 360, Vyond, Synthesia or similar tools and LMS
• Ability to collaborate with SMEs, stakeholders, and external vendors
• Strong PM, written communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs analysis, produce project plans, and lead development of training programs.
• Administers and manages existing and future programs, courses, events, initiatives, and activities.
• Meet with trainers and subject matter experts to ensure quality and consistency.
• Build relationships with internal leaders and SMEs to communicate goals and results.
• Leverage learning methodologies to drive engagement and retention.
• Analyze data on training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Present training in classroom, virtual, or on-demand LMS formats.
• Engage City employees with professionalism and empathy.
• Stay updated with HR and L&D trends to enhance experiences.
• Take on additional projects or duties as required.
