Job summary

ABB is seeking a Training & Capability Development Specialist in the United States (South Dakota) to design and lead training initiatives that support business transformation. You will develop instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced programs, create materials, and partner with leaders to translate processes into effective learning solutions.

You will maintain SOPs, manage onboarding and upskilling, run schedules and events, and monitor learning metrics in the LMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or related field.
• 5+ years in learning & development, instructional design, training, or organizational capability building.
• Strong facilitation, content development, stakeholder engagement, and project management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience creating training materials.
• Ability to translate complex processes and systems into clear, effective learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of training and capability-building initiatives aligned with business transformation goals.
• Design, develop, and deliver instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning programs.
• Create training materials, job aids, assessments, and process documentation that support employee success.
• Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to translate processes and systems into effective learning solutions.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and supporting documentation.
• Establish and manage onboarding, upskilling, and role-based development programs.
• Coordinate training schedules, communications, and learning events across the organization.
• Maintain training content and resources within the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Monitor training participation, compliance, and effectiveness using learner and business performance metrics.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional development across US ELSE Services.
