Job summary

ABB Inc. in the United States seeks a Training & Capability Development Specialist for US ELSE Commercial Operations.

You will build and execute a comprehensive learning strategy to support business transformation, process adoption, and workforce development. Partnering across the organization, you will create engaging learning experiences and development programs that equip employees with knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in learning & development, instructional design, training, or organizational capability building.
• Strong facilitation, content development, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience creating professional training materials and documentation.
• Ability to translate complex processes into clear, effective learning experiences.
• Knowledge of Salesforce training and CPQ platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of training initiatives aligned with business transformation goals.
• Design, develop, and deliver instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning programs.
• Create training materials, job aids, assessments, and process documentation.
• Partner with leaders and SMEs to translate processes into learning solutions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and supporting docs.
• Establish onboarding, upskilling, and role-based development programs.
• Coordinate training schedules and communications across the organization.
• Maintain LMS content and resources.
• Monitor training participation, compliance, and effectiveness via metrics.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
