Job summary

ABB is seeking a Training & Capability Development Specialist to build and execute a comprehensive learning strategy that supports business transformation and workforce development in the US ELSE Services segment.

You will partner with leaders to design engaging programs, create SOPs and job aids, and maintain LMS resources to drive capability and performance improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or related field.
• 5+ years in learning & development, instructional design, training, or organizational capability building.
• Strong facilitation, content development, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience creating professional training materials and documentation.
• Ability to translate complex processes and systems into clear, effective learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of training and capability-building initiatives aligned with business transformation goals.
• Design, develop, and deliver instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning programs.
• Create training materials, job aids, assessments, and process documentation that support employee success.
• Partner with business leaders and SMEs to translate processes and systems into effective learning solutions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and supporting documentation.
• Establish and manage onboarding, upskilling, and role-based development programs.
• Coordinate training schedules, communications, and learning events across the organization.
• Maintain training content and resources within the LMS.
• Monitor training participation, compliance, and effectiveness using metrics.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing across US ELSE Services.
