Job summary

ABB is seeking a Training & Capability Development Specialist to design and execute a comprehensive learning strategy for US ELSE Commercial Operations. You will partner with leaders to build capability, deliver varied learning programs, and drive workforce development to accelerate transformation.

The role focuses on creating engaging training experiences, SOPs, onboarding programs, and ongoing competency development across the organization. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in L&D are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in learning & development, instructional design, training, or organizational capability building.
• Strong facilitation, content development, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience creating professional training materials and documentation.
• Ability to translate complex processes and systems into clear, effective learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of training and capability-building initiatives aligned with business transformation goals.
• Design, develop, and deliver instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning programs.
• Create training materials, job aids, assessments, and process documentation that support employee success.
• Partner with business leaders and SME to translate processes and systems into effective learning solutions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and supporting documentation.
• Establish onboarding, upskilling, and role-based development programs.
• Coordinate training schedules, communications, and learning events across the organization.
• Maintain training content and resources within the LMS.
• Monitor training participation, compliance, and effectiveness using metrics.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional development across US ELSE Services.
