Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a Training & Capability Development Specialist for US ELSE Commercial Operations.

You will build and execute a comprehensive learning strategy to support business transformation, process adoption, and workforce development, partnering across the organization to create engaging learning experiences that empower employees to excel. Responsibilities include designing programs, creating materials, maintaining SOPs, and managing onboarding and role-based development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and education/organizational development focus.
• 5+ years in learning & development, instructional design, or capability-building.
• Strong facilitation, content development, stakeholder engagement, and PM skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and professional training materials creation.
• Ability to translate complex processes into clear learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of training initiatives aligned with business transformation.
• Design, develop, and deliver instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced programs.
• Create training materials, job aids, assessments, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with leaders and SMEs to translate processes into learning solutions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and documentation.
• Establish onboarding, upskilling, and role-based development programs.
• Coordinate training schedules, communications, and events across the org.
• Maintain LMS content and resources.
• Monitor participation, compliance, and effectiveness with metrics.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
