Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Senior Payroll HRIS Analyst to design, configure, optimize, and support Workday Payroll for U.S. and Canada payroll operations.

This role serves as the primary HRIS partner to Payroll, ensuring Workday solutions align with business requirements, compliance, and operational needs. This position partners with Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking, IT, and other stakeholders to translate complex payroll needs into effective Workday configurations, driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in related field
• Five (5) years or more experience in HRIS experience with hands‑on Workday Payroll configuration experience
• Five (5) years or more experience supporting large multi-state or multi-country payroll operations
• Workday Payroll Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead design, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Workday Payroll for U.S. and Canada.
• Partner with Payroll leadership and cross-functional teams to design scalable Workday solutions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex payroll system issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Lead Workday testing activities for system enhancements and regulatory changes.
• Support payroll-related configuration across Workday modules (Benefits, Compensation, Absence, reporting).
• Evaluate functionality and best practices to recommend enhancements and process improvements.
