Job summary

Staples in Omaha, NE is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor teammates, fill in for supervisors, and keep a safe, efficient warehouse running. You’ll move product using forklifts and other equipment while ensuring safety procedures and cleanliness.

This role requires 12+ months in a warehouse, ability to pass a drug screen, lift up to 100 pounds, and 18+ years old. We offer competitive pay, shift differential, and full-time/part-time benefits as part of Staples’

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permitted.
• If hired full-time, ability to work additional overtime hours as needed.
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Walk/stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead mentor and train new material handlers and fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, electric pallet jacks).
• Move product within the warehouse following safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace and support Staples Supply Chain delivery goals.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive team environment and effective issue resolution.
