Job summary

Staples is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator in a warehouse setting in Missouri. You will mentor and train new material handlers, fill in for supervisors as needed, and operate equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, and electric pallet jacks to move products safely.

The role requires lifting and moving items up to 100 pounds, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to safety procedures. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent training/education.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• For Full-Time, ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator; mentor and train new material handlers; fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, and electric pallet jacks to move product while following safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and support Staples’ safety culture.
• Work in a fast-paced warehouse with seasonal temperature variations.
