Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive data‑driven improvements across warehousing and transportation operations. You will lead cross‑functional CI projects, coach teams, and implement lean methods to achieve safer, higher‑quality, on‑time, cost‑efficient outcomes.

Demonstrated expertise in data analytics, engineering tools, and WMS/automation is essential; strong communication and leadership are required to mentor staff and coordinate with management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain with 7+ years in warehousing/transport or manufacturing.
• 7+ years in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing industries.
• Microsoft Office Suite with Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio; expert level.
• Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX).
• Proficiency in Leader Standard Work, Visual Management, PDCA, VSM, Kaizen, 5S.
• Experience in core engineering and data analysis: slotting, labor planning, layouts, metrics.
• Knowledge of CAD and warehouse automation tools; WMS and labor systems knowledge.
• Lean Six Sigma, cPMP, ISO/QMS; APICS and/or SCM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps processes and identifies gaps.
• Leads high-impact CI projects to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Coaches employees in CI, QA and Lean; applies engineering methods and lean principles.
• Supervises CI engineering and QA professionals; participates in hiring and performance.
• Facilitates Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events; sustains improvements.
• Delivers regular data reports and recommends supply chain strategies.
