Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive data‑driven performance across operations. You will identify gaps, lead CI projects, and implement automation to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth, interfacing with General Managers and Directors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Warehousing/Transportation or Manufacturing.
• MS Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) expert.
• Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL/DAX experience.
• Proficiency in Leader Standard Work, Visual Management, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S.
• Core engineering and data analysis—slots, labor planning, layouts, metrics.
• WMS/automation knowledge (e.g., CAD-based design, PIT tooling).
• Lean Six Sigma, cPMP/ISO/QMS preferred.
• APICS or SCM certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis to identify gaps and improvements.
• Leads high-impact CI projects across the operation for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
• Coaches teams in CI, QA, and Lean methods; applies engineering tools to optimize distribution/transportation.
• Possibly supervises CI engineers and supports hiring and performance reviews.
• Facilitates Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events; sustains results.
• Provides regular data reports and advises on inventory/SC strategy.
