Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive data-driven CI initiatives across the operation. You will identify gaps, lead improvement plans, and deliver tangible gains in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

You will coach teams in Lean principles, facilitate Kaizen events, and oversee CI projects from inception to sustainment, interfacing with various levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain and 7+ years of related experience.
• Alternative: Master’s degree with 5+ years of related experience; MBA may require undergrad in Engineering.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) is required.
• Data visualization with PowerBI/Tableau and SQL/database programming is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth.
• Coach teams in Lean, CI, Quality Assurance, and Lean practices.
• Facilitate Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events; drive sustainment of improvements.
