Job summary

Staples, Inc. is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor teammates and fill in for supervisors as needed. You will operate forklifts and related equipment while maintaining a clean, safe workspace and following safety procedures.

You will train new material handlers, move items efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse, and support the logistics team in delivering products to customers while upholding Staples’ safety culture.

Qualifications

12+ months related experience in a warehouse.
Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
Full-time associates may require overtime based on business needs.
Able to lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds.
Must wear safety composite work shoes.
Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

Lead and train material handlers.
Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, and pallet jacks safely.
Move products within the warehouse and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
Support supervisors and adapt to safety procedures.
Contribute to Staples Supply Chain success by delivering to customers.
