Job summary

Staples Supply Chain in Portland, OR is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor teammates and cover supervisors as needed. You will operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, and electric pallet jacks in a fast-paced warehouse, lifting up to 100 pounds, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

The role requires 12+ months warehouse experience, the ability to pass a drug screen, and readiness to work overtime with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Full-Time associates must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Must walk/stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor material handlers and fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment to move product within the warehouse while following safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Contribute to Staples Supply Chain's success by delivering products to customers.
