Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director to lead large transportation projects. You will drive approvals, manage client relationships, and guide contract terms while coordinating with HDR leadership and external partners across multiple regions.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in civil infrastructure, PE licensure, and a proven ability to lead diverse teams in complex delivery programs. This is a full-time role within HDR's Transportation Business Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience in large transportation infrastructure.
• Professional engineering registration (PE) is required for leadership roles.
• Experience with design/build/alternative delivery projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive project approvals per HDR policy and risk controls.
• Coordinate with HDR leadership, clients, and partners on terms and contracts.
• Develop teaming arrangements and subcontracts for major projects.
• Represent HDR in industry associations and advocacy groups.
• Report progress to Transportation Business Group leadership.
