Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director-Transportation Business Group to lead pursuit and delivery of large transportation projects. You will drive approvals, negotiate terms with legal and risk, and collaborate with HDR leaders to coordinate resources and contractors.

The role requires a 15+ year track record in civil infrastructure, a PE license, and a deep understanding of design-build and P3 projects.

Qualifications

• PE License is required for leadership roles.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred.
• 15+ years of professional engineering experience in major transportation projects.
• Experience leading diverse teams and managing client relationships.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director and oversee pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals per HDR policies and risk committees.
• Coordinate with HDR Business Group leaders, legal, and risk teams on contract terms.
• Lead and influence cross-functional teams across Areas, Regions, and Market Sectors.
• Engage with industry associations to elevate HDR visibility.
