Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior transmission design engineer in the United States to design lines from 69kV to 765kV, mentor junior staff, and perform independent design reviews. You will work directly with clients and ensure compliance with applicable standards while contributing to project success.

The role requires an ABET-accredited BS in engineering with 12 years of transmission design experience and proficiency in PLS-CADD.

Qualifications

• BS degree from ABET-accredited engineering program.
• 12 years of transmission design experience.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD software.
• Knowledge of NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE, ANSI standards.
• Experience working directly with clients and reviewing designs.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range.
• Mentor and train less experienced design team members.
• Perform independent reviews of calculations, drawings, and PLS-CADD models.
