Sargent & Lundy seeks an experienced transmission design engineer to design lines from 69kV up to 500kV and mentor junior engineers. You will coordinate design activities, prepare technical reports, and review calculations and models to ensure client and code compliance.

Hybrid work arrangement requires in-office presence 3 days per week. ABET-accredited engineering BS and 12+ years of experience are essential, with proficiency in PLS-CADD and standards such as NESC, IEC, and IEEE.

Qualificações

• BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• 12+ years of transmission design experience.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD software.
• Experience developing scopes of work, conceptual designs, design bases, equipment selections, and calculations/specifications.
• Experience with 69kV–500kV transmission lines working with clients.
• Knowledge of standards: NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE, ANSI.
• Experience reviewing designs prepared by others.

Responsabilidades

• Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range.
• Mentor and train less experienced design team members.
• Coordinate design activities to ensure installations comply with specs and client requirements.
• Prepare reports and studies presenting technical information clearly per S&L formats.
• Perform independent reviews of others' work including calculations and models in PLS-CADD.
• Adhere to Sargent & Lundy’s System of Processes.
