Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join its Power Delivery Team in Austin or Houston. You will lead engineering for high‑voltage overhead transmission lines, including planning, design, and delivery with cross‑disciplinary collaboration.

You will manage project schedules, coordinate with clients, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. Travel to client sites and vendor facilities may be required as part of project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and civil design.
• Engineer license required.
• Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.
• Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Create and maintain a project schedule; lead project meetings and coordinate with clients.
• Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures and safety standards.
• Support PMs with scope, schedule, and budget discussions for new projects.
• Travel to client offices, field sites, or vendor facilities as needed.
