Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join the Power Delivery Team in Texas. You will provide technical leadership for high‑voltage overhead transmission line projects, from planning through delivery, including design, scheduling, and client interactions.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, support PMs with scope and budget, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. Travel to client offices and field sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Engineer license required.
• 7 to 10 years of relevant post‑education experience in engineering and civil design.
• Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO‑95.
• Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS‑CADD operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Lead and/or support the initial project execution layout to establish an efficient plan.
• Create and maintain a project schedule and conduct regular project meetings.
• Coordinate with clients on project status and support project meetings.
• Maintain project workflow and communication across multi-disciplinary projects.
• Forecast upcoming project requirements for resource planning.
• Adhere to QA/QC procedures and safety standards.
• Lead and mentor project teams; travel to client sites as needed.
