Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our Power Delivery Team. The role offers flexible work arrangements, including remote work or from offices across the South-Central region, with preferred locations such as Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, Dallas, and Tulsa.

The position provides technical leadership for high-voltage overhead transmission line projects, spanning planning, design, and delivery.

Qualifications

10+ years of relevant post-education experience in the electrical transmission industry for capital projects in power generation, transmission, and distribution.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
10+ of relevant post-education experience in engineering and civil design.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required (multi-state preferred).
Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.
Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills.
Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
Create and maintain a project schedule and lead/participate in regular project meetings.
Coordinate with clients on project status and support meetings.
Maintain project workflow and cross-disciplinary communication within WSP.
Forecast upcoming project requirements for resource planning.
Adhere to QA/QC procedures and industry standards.
Lead project teams and travel to client offices/field facilities as needed.
