Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Lead Technical Trainer for its AES CE O&M Technical Training Program. You will support the Senior Manager of Training, coordinating, developing, and delivering training for field operations and corporate teams across PV, wind, and batteries.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years in PV/O&M, 3+ years in technical training, and strong communication to write SOPs and lead technical groups. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of field operations and maintenance at utility-scale PV or PV+BESS sites.
• 3+ years in technical training, peer mentoring, or curriculum development.
• 2+ years as a senior technician in PV or PV+BESS O&M.
• 2+ years with a large energy company or utility.
• Certified on 2+ central inverter OEM trainings.
• Preference for LMS and e-learning tools experience.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Manager of Training in executing the training program's vision.
• Lead front-end analysis and develop digital training content for virtual and in-person formats.
• Coordinate resources from AES field professionals for curriculum development.
• Review and improve internal and outsourced training content.
• Develop new curricula for upcoming projects and integrate OEM training.
• Manage OEM training with vendors across 6 regions and track certifications.
• Provide remote and hands-on training to technicians to boost engagement.
• Lead train-the-trainer initiatives and foster a mentoring culture.
