Job summary

AES Clean Energy O&M is seeking a Lead Technical Trainer to develop and manage a renewable technical training program for Solar, Wind and Battery technicians. You will support the Senior Manager of Technical Training, coordinating, developing, and delivering training across field operations and corporate teams.

The role requires advanced PV/O&M expertise, strong teaching skills, and travel up to 25%. You will shape training content, mentor technicians, and drive safety and reliability through

Qualifications

4+ years of field experience in hands-on operations and maintenance of utility-scale PV or PV+BESS sites.
3+ years in technical training, peer-mentorship, and/or curriculum development.
2+ years as a senior technician in PV/PV+BESS O&M; wind/thermal experience a plus.
Experience with 2+ central inverter OEM trainings.

Responsibilities

Support Senior Manager of Training on executing the training program vision.
Lead training content development for virtual and in-person formats.
Develop and vet content with subject matter experts for curricula.
Review and improve training content, internal and outsourced.
Coordinate OEM training vendors and manage multi-region rollout.
Ensure training effectiveness by aligning with field operations feedback.
