Job summary

AES Corporation seeks a Lead Technical Trainer to develop and manage a renewable technical training program for Solar/Wind/Battery technicians. You will support the Senior Manager of Technical Training, coordinate training initiatives, and deliver both remote and hands-on sessions across field operations and corporate teams.

Ideal candidates have advanced PV/O&M hands-on experience, strong communication, and a passion for sharing knowledge.

Qualifications

4+ years field experience in PV/PV+BESS O&M operations.
Experience at 3+ utility-scale PV sites.
Inverter maintenance and medium voltage transformer troubleshooting.
Diagnosing PV module issues and ground faults.
Strong communication and training delivery skills.
2+ years in a senior technician role in O&M of PV/PV+BESS sites.
2+ years in energy company with PV/BESS sites.
Certified on 2+ central inverter OEM trainings.
Experience with LMS and e-learning tools (Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support Senior Manager of Training on tasks related to executing the vision and managing the training program.
Lead training content development in digital formats for virtual and in-person delivery.
Develop, gather and vet content from AES field professionals for curriculum development.
Review, edit, and improve training content, internal and outsourced.
Coordinate OEM training vendors and 6-region training program tracking.
Provide remote and hands-on training and technical assistance to technicians.
Deploy in-person training formats and mentor/train in the field.
Ensure scalable, repeatable training processes and learning improvements.
