Job summary

Innovative Teacher Leader is a classroom educator stepping into school-wide leadership without administrator duties. This role mentors new teachers, guides the county curriculum team on district initiatives, and bridges county and school levels through instructional support and piloting cutting-edge educational strategies.

In addition to teaching, you will participate in leadership meetings, advise on curriculum alignment, and provide hands-on coaching, co-teaching, and peer observations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of successful classroom teaching.
• Proven experience serving on a school leadership team.
• Valid State Teaching Certification.
• Current Certified Mentor status, or commitment to earn mentor certification upon hire.
• Attend all 10 specialized innovative teacher trainings.

Responsibilities

• Serve on the school leadership team to shape the school’s academic vision and goals.
• Act as a liaison between administration and instructional staff to champion innovative practices.
• Translate district curriculum changes into actionable classroom strategies.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and peer observations to support colleagues in adopting innovative teaching methods.
