West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking an Innovative Teacher Leader to balance classroom excellence with school-wide leadership. This role mentors new teachers, guides the county curriculum team, and pilots cutting-edge instructional strategies across schools.

The position emphasizes collaboration with the leadership team, translating district curriculum changes into actionable classroom practice, and ongoing professional development through mandatory trainings.

Qualifications

Must have 3+ years of successful classroom teaching.
Valid teaching certification required.
Commitment to be a Certified Mentor or pursue mentor certification after hire.
Must demonstrate growth mindset and willingness to attend all 10 specialized trainings.

Responsibilities

Serve on the school leadership team to shape academic vision and goals.
Act as liaison between administration and staff to promote innovative practices.
Provide input for county curriculum initiatives ensuring local alignment with district goals.
Attend all 10 mandated training sessions and professional development workshops.
Translate district curriculum changes into actionable classroom strategies for peers.
Provide mentorship and instructional coaching to teachers and co-teach when needed.
