Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons in a broad range of operative procedures and mentor staff. You will maintain a sterile field, prepare instruments, and support patient safety throughout the case.

The role requires BLS certification within 30 days, and a Surgical Technology certificate and/or an associate degree. You will work with a dynamic team, scrub on diverse procedures, and contribute to efficient OR turnover while ensuring high-quality care for our

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days (AHA).
• Certificate of Completion: Surgical Technology.
• Associate's Degree: Surgical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Preparation for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures, timely, accurate and efficient.
• Sets up sterile field and is scrubbed prior to patient entering the room.
• Sets up case so that others can step into an organized back table and mayo.
• Collaborates with surgeon prior to case and adjusts as necessary.
• Precepts surgical techs and RNs to prepare for procedures; scrubs on routine to complex cases.
