Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support surgeons across varied procedures. The role includes preparing operative fields, maintaining sterility, and assisting with case setup and turnover. Trainers and mentors may guide other technologists and students.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and suture are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and be scrubbed prior to patient entry.
• Arrange case back table and Mayo stand for organized workflow.
• Provide required items and resources while avoiding unnecessary openings.
• Anticipate intra-op needs and coordinate with surgeon during cases.
