Job summary

Arcadis U.S.Inc. in Middletown, CT, is seeking a Senior Substation Electrical Engineer to join the Power Delivery team. You will perform hands-on substation design for 4kV–500kV projects and coordinate with civil, P&C, and transmission teams in North America.

You will lead engineering, studies, bids, and project execution, travel up to 25%, mentor juniors, and ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, IEEE codes. This is a Sr. technical position within the Power Delivery & Renewable unit.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
8+ years of Substation experience (4kV–500kV) delivering complete substation packages.
Experience with substation layouts, bus configurations, grounding, HV/EHV design and studies.
Proficient in AutoCAD and SKM/ETAP, CDEGS/WinIGS, and related software.
Design experience adhering to NEC, NESC, IEEE and local codes.

Responsibilities

Engineering, detail design, studies and delivery of substation projects from 4kV to 500kV.
Lead and participate in preparation of bids, estimates, and client engagements.
Coordinate with civil, structural, high-voltage P&C, telecom, and geotechnical engineers.
Act as Project Manager, Proposal Manager and Technical Lead to support growth for the region.
Mentor junior team members and ensure QA/QC across electrical deliverables.
