Job summary

DSI Tech is expanding its Structured Cabling practice and seeks an experienced Structured Cabling Solutions Architect to lead technical design from customer initial conversations through BOM, SOW, and transition to implementation.

This customer-facing role requires on-site work in Ashburn, VA, with responsibility for surveys, design decisions, and coordination withSales and delivery teams to ensure successful project awards and handoffs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing and supporting structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Experience with Cat6/Cat6A and single-mode/multimode fiber.
• Knowledge of MDF/IDF design, telecom rooms, racks and pathways.
• Experience developing Bills of Materials and supporting project cost estimates.
• Experience with Statements of Work, design packages, cable schedules and implementation documentation.
• Experience with data center cabling environments and NEC/local codes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in customer discovery meetings to understand business and facility requirements.
• Conduct on-site surveys of facilities, offices, campuses, and data centers.
• Design structured cabling solutions using copper and fiber.
• Develop accurate Bills of Materials and labor estimates.
• Prepare technical Statements of Work with scope, deliverables and acceptance criteria.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify risks and questions.
