Job summary

Equinix, the world’s digital infrastructure company, is seeking a Lead Sales Engineer for Strategic Accounts. This role leads end-to-end design and pursuit execution of advanced data center and interconnection solutions across regions, translating account strategy into deployable architectures.

You will partner with Account Executives and Global Solutions Architects to ensure technical excellence and commercial viability in engagements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technical pre-sales, infrastructure engineering, or data center architecture within complex enterprise or hyperscale environments.
• Deep expertise in data center infrastructure including power density modeling and cooling technologies.
• Experience supporting global or multi-region deployments.
• Strong understanding of AI infrastructure requirements including high-density compute and liquid cooling.
• Familiarity with build-to-suit engagements and phased capacity planning.
• Solutions selling experience in a technical pre-sales role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted technical advisor throughout the sales lifecycle.
• Lead detailed technical discovery across global stakeholders to define requirements.
• Own the technical win for regional and global pursuits with design docs and diagrams.
• Align regional designs with global technical roadmap for consistency.
• Support forecast accuracy and deal progression by articulating scope and risks.
• Engage with global technical community to provide coordinated strategy and superior customer experience.
• Demonstrate expertise in data center trends and sustainability.
