Job summary

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group in Athens, GA is seeking a Sous Chef with 2+ years’ experience managing the line in an upscale, food-focused environment. You will procure high-quality products, oversee service and food quality, and mentor staff to deliver memorable experiences while driving P&L goals.

You’ll lead by example, promote internal hospitality, and strive to create exceptional experiences for guests and team members alike.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ restaurant management experience
• Thrive in high-volume, scratch kitchen environments
• Passionate about Internal Hospitality and core values
• Strong problem resolution skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and handling important conversations

Responsibilities

• Set the tone for guest experience by leading a positive, collaborative, and respectful team environment
• Oversee, maintain and manage food and service quality
• Assess, implement and manage service standards for consistency in procedures
• Achieve financial objectives via annual budgeting, expenditures, variances and corrective actions
• Create and carry out strategic objectives that mitigate risk and maximize profit across recruitment, finance, legal and restaurant operations (FOH/BOH)
• Forecast financial trends to control labor, food and beverage costs
• Partner with the General Manager to lead by example and foster a positive environment
