Job summary

RTX is seeking a highly motivated Chief Engineer for the Standard Missile-6 (SM-6) program to support Transition to Production in Tucson, AZ. You will lead technical directions across IPTs, interface with the US Navy, and ensure contract deliverables are met.

The role requires a Bachelor's in STEM, 10+ years of relevant experience, and an active DoD Secret clearance. On-site work in Tucson with relocation and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with system development, requirements management, verification, integration and production.
• Active and transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance required; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a product vision, strategy, and goals across Programs/Customers.
• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
• Serve as primary technical point of contact with senior customer and program leadership.
• Lead and coordinate with major subcontractors to ensure deliverables.
• Direct a multi-disciplined engineering team in development and production.
• Provide technical disposition for Export/Import (EXIM) compliance.
