RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Chief Engineer for the SM-6 program to lead Transition to Production efforts. You will guide cross-functional teams, ensure program cadence, manage technical risks, and interface with the Navy to deliver on schedule.

The role requires a seasoned leader with a strong background in system architecture, integration, verification, and production across complex missile programs. This onsite position offers relocation eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with system development and design, requirements development, verification, system integration and test, and production.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing multi-million-dollar budgets.

Responsabilités

• Establish and manage a product vision, strategy, and goals across Programs/Customers.
• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across IPTs to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
• Primary technical point of contact with senior customer counterparts and engineering leadership.
• Influence internal and external customers on technical capabilities and architecture needs.
• Support capture of new business and influence roadmaps reflected in planning and execution.
• Lead incremental upgrades and system improvements.
• Drive improvements within production environments as a key Failure Review Board stakeholder.
• Engage major subcontractors to ensure product deliverables.
• Direct a multi-discipline engineering team in development and production.
• Provide technical disposition for Export/Import compliance.
