RTX is seeking a highly experienced Chief Engineer for the SM-6 program to support Transition to Production (TTP) in Tucson, AZ. Lead technical directions across IPTs, interface with the US Navy, and ensure program cadence and contract deliverables.

The role requires a Bachelor's in STEM and at least 10 years of relevant experience, plus an active DoD Secret clearance. This is a 100% onsite position with opportunities to influence system upgrades and production improvements.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with system development and design, requirements development, management, verification, system integration and test, and production.
• Experience working on modular systems architectures and product lines.
• Experience as a technical leader who can develop work plans and drive execution.
• Experience leading engineering teams.
• Experience managing resources with multi-million-dollar annual budgets.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsabilités

• Establish and manage a product vision, strategy, and goals to align with multiple Programs/Customers and facilitate conflict resolution.
• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across the IPT and other functions to meet and/or exceed cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
• Primary technical point of contact with senior customer counterparts, internal senior program management and engineering leadership.
• Influence and align internal and external customers on the technical capabilities, technical risks and common architecture needs.
• Support the capture of new business and influence technical and product line roadmaps, ensuring they are reflected in program planning and execution.
• Plan out and lead the incremental break-in of upgrades and system improvements.
• Drive positive change within the production environment as a key stakeholder in Failure Review Boards, FRACAS activities and other continuous improvement efforts.
• Technically engage with major subcontractors and partners to ensure product deliverables.
• Direct a team of multi-disciplined engineers in support of product development and production.
• Provide technical advisory disposition for Export / Import (EXIM) compliance.
