RTX is seeking a Chief Engineer for the Standard Missile-6 (SM-6) program to support Transition to Production in Tucson, AZ. You will direct a team of engineers, establish technical strategy, and ensure cadence to meet contract deliverables.

This role requires a STEM degree, 10+ years of experience, and an active DoD Secret clearance. You will engage with the U.S. Navy, customers, and suppliers to drive program success and maintain engineering integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• 10+ years of relevant experience in system development, design, verification, integration and production.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsabilités

• Establish and manage a product vision, strategy, and goals to align with multiple Programs/Customers and facilitate conflict resolution.
• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across the IPT and other functions to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements
• Primary technical point of contact with senior customer counterparts, internal senior program management and engineering leadership.
• Influence and align internal and external customers on the technical capabilities, technical risks and common architecture needs.
• Support the capture of new business and influence technical and product line roadmaps, ensuring they are reflected in program planning and execution.
• Plan out and lead the incremental break-in of upgrades and system improvements.
• Drive positive change within the production environment as a key stakeholder in Failure Review Boards, FRACAS activities and other continuous improvement efforts.
• Technically engage with major subcontractors and partners to ensure product deliverables.
• Direct a team of multi-disciplined engineers in support of product development and production.
• Provide technical advisory disposition for Export / Import (EXIM) compliance.
