RTX is seeking a highly motivated Chief Engineer for the Standard Missile-6 (SM-6) program to support Transition to Production in Tucson, AZ. You will lead engineering teams, shape technical directions, and ensure alignment with Navy requirements while maintaining program cadence and cost objectives.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, extensive system-level leadership, and a track record of delivering complex architectures from concept through production.

Qualifications

• Experience with system development and design, requirements development, management, verification, system integration and test, and production.
• Experience working on modular systems architectures and product lines.
• Experience as a technical leader who can develop work plans and drive execution.
• Experience leading engineering teams.
• Experience managing resources with multi-million-dollar annual budgets.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.

Responsabilités

• Establish and manage a product vision, strategy, and goals across programs/customers.
• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution to meet cost, schedule, and requirements.
• Serve as primary technical point of contact with senior customer counterparts.
• Influence roadmaps and align with internal/external customers.
• Plan and lead upgrades and system improvements.
• Drive continuous improvements within production and FRACAS processes.
• Engage with major subcontractors to ensure deliverables.
• Direct a multi-disciplinary engineering team in product development and production.
• Provide technical advisory disposition for Export/Import (EXIM) compliance.
