Job summary

Firehouse Subs is seeking a dedicated Shift Leader in Matthews, NC to help run daily restaurant operations and deliver the high-quality guest experience our brand promises. You will support the General Manager and supervise team members during shifts, ensuring service, safety, and compliance with company standards.

The role is split between leadership, training, and hands-on tasks, with flexibility for day or night shifts and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Computer skills including Microsoft Office and register systems.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop during shifts.
• Able to work in walk-in freezer/cooler from 40°F to -10°F.

Responsibilities

• Reports to General Manager.
• Oversee shift operations to meet company guidelines with integrity.
• Ensure compliance with health, wage, age, and safety regulations.
• Lead staff to deliver guest service, quality and cleanliness.
• Assist GM with hiring, training and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain documentation and programs as required by law.
• Able to stand for long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
