Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Service Technician to service and support existing customers by responding to service calls, performing maintenance, and completing small projects. You will join a dynamic team with opportunities to grow as Convergint grows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years servicing, integrating, and programming access control systems.
• Experience with fire alarm or electronic security systems.
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites with minimal overnight travel.
• Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and some non-routine customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and emergency and after-hours service calls on a timely basis; diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug systems for routine problems; install projects as necessary.
• Complete accurate and detailed service reports for customer and Convergint in a timely manner.
• Use solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
• Act as our customer’s best service provider and be the first choice for service.
