Job summary

AES Clean Energy (ACE) O&M is seeking a Lead Technical Trainer to develop and manage a renewable training program for the Solar/Wind/Battery technicians. We are seeking a proactive, highly knowledgeable and organized Lead Technical Trainer to support and execute corporate training initiatives.

This individual will tactically support the Senior Manager of Technical Training in executing the Training Team’s objectives and vision through the coordination, development, and delivery of training

Qualifications

• 4+ years field operations and maintenance on utility-scale PV or PV+BESS sites.
• Central inverter maintenance, MV transformer, and troubleshooting.
• Diagnosing PV module issues and ground faults.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong documentation skills.
• 3+ years in technical training or curriculum development.
• 2+ years as senior technician in PV/BESS O&M.
• 2+ years at energy corporations or utilities with PV/BESS sites.
• OEM inverter certification(s) and LMS/e-learning experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Manager of Training in executing the training program vision.
• Lead training content development for digital and in-person formats.
• Coordinate with subject-matter experts and instructional designers.
• Review and improve training content, including external offerings.
• Manage OEM training vendors and regional coordination across 6 regions.
• Provide remote and hands-on training and mentorship to technicians.
• Support training processes, reporting, and program expansion.
