Job summary

SOLV Energy in the United States is seeking a senior SCADA Design Lead to own in-house SCADA design for utility-scale PV, BESS, and wind projects. You will develop detailed drawings, review standards, and support commissioning readiness while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

This remote role emphasizes technical leadership, mentorship, and collaboration with OT teams to ensure reliable, standards-compliant SCADA systems across projects.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or energy engineering preferred.
• 6-8 years of engineering experience in renewable energy or utility scale projects including SCADA.
• Direct experience drafting engineering drawing sets for SCADA, networking, electrical, and substation designs.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-house SCADA design for utility-scale PV, BESS, and wind projects.
• Develop drawings in AutoCAD and Visio and document system designs.
• Define and improve SCADA design standards and best practices.
• Own and drive requirements gathering and translate them into scalable designs.
• Review drawings, provide redlines, and maintain quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical reviews.
• Collaborate with SOLV OT to define hardware requirements and risk controls.
• Drive standardization to improve efficiency and reliability across projects.
• Generate comprehensive project documentation and training materials.
• Support commissioning and field issues, ensuring long-term reliability.
• Engage in customer-facing design reviews and FAT activities.
• Coordinate with customers and field teams for on-site handoff and support.
