Qualus Corporation is seeking a Lead Relay Settings Engineer to design, specify, calculate settings, and coordinate protective relays and relay control schemes for large utility substations. The role requires 7+ years in protection and control engineering and hands-on experience with ASPEN or CAPE. The position may be based in multiple U.S.

locations, with remote work options available. You will collaborate with internal teams to deliver robust protection schemes and present technical solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with power systems focus; MS may substitute.
• 7+ years of protection and relay settings experience.
• Experience with ASPEN and/or CAPE.
• Professional Engineering registration or plan to become registered.
• CYME familiarity, reclosers/sectionalizing schemes preferred.

Responsabilités

• Design, specification, setting calculation, and coordination of protective relaying and relay control schemes.
• Modeling, short circuit and overstressed breaker studies and protective relaying recommendations for proposed interconnections.
• Ensure relay settings activities conform to company policies and client design standards.
• Present technical solutions to customers and respond to technical concerns in real time.
• Collaborate with Qualus groups to implement technical solutions for Engineering Department objectives.
